Pathfinder Community Connections, the community development division of Pathfinder Services, will host a four-week series of financial wellness seminars beginning in October.
Workshops will be held at Pathfinder Community Connections, located at 2824 Theater Ave., in Huntington, on four Wednesdays beginning Oct. 3.
The same series will be offered at the Pathfinder Community Connections office at 3326 S. Calhoun St., Suite 102, Fort Wayne, on four Thursdays beginning Oct. 16.
All sessions are from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The workshops are free and open to anyone in the community.

Sessions are instructed by staff from Purdue Extension, Consumer Credit Counseling Services and Pathfinder Community Connections.

Session topics include financial planning, wise use of credit, bank services, household record keeping, money-saving tips, insurance, tax credits and deductions and more.

Each participant will receive a free credit report. They may also be eligible to receive a $300 match from Pathfinder Community Connections to open a savings account or a loan of up to $300 from a local financial institution.

Grants for the workshops have been received from NeighborWorks America, 1st Source Bank, Ecolab, Jones Abstract, Lake City Bank, PNC Bank and State Farm Insurance.
