Hannah Wells, of Roanoke, competed in the National Barrel Horse Association Open and Senior World Championships, held Oct. 26-Nov. 3 in Perry, GA.

This is the second year Wells has competed in the event, which drew more than 950 entrants in the Open Division and about 416 in the Senior Division. Contestants must qualify for the world competition through competitions in their home sates.

Last year, Wells also rode in the Youth World Championships in Jackson, MS.
