Monty’s Plant Food Company to offer four farm scholarships

Monty's Plant Food Company is now accepting applications from Indiana students for four $1,000 college scholarships.
The company, based in Louisville, KY, manufactures plant and soil enhancement products for the agriculture industry.
The awards will be made in conjunction with the National FFA Organization to high school seniors who are members of FFA.
Eligible students must live in Indiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia; live on a family farm; and plan to pursue post-secondary education and study agronomy and crop science, sustainable agriculture, soil science or soil conservation.
They must also have a minimum high school GPA of 3.25 and have participated in community service.

Scholarship applications are available online at www.ffa.org/scholarships. The deadline to apply is Feb. 15, 2013.
The scholarships will be awarded in May.
