The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington has named TJ Smith as its the member of the month and Zachary Schwartz as its staff member of the month.

Smith is an eighth grader at Crestview Middle School. His favorite subjects include math and science and he is involved in wrestling. He says his favorite part about the club is participating in activities in the gym and Movie Tech.

Smith says he comes to the club because he knows it helps to give his mom some quiet time to herself and he appreciates the help he gets with his homework.

He was chosen as member of the month because of his willingness to participate and his positive attitude.

Schwartz is a youth development professional at the club and heads up technology programming. He has been a staff member at the club since March 2012.

He also works part time at Markle United Methodist Church as children's ministry director. He received his undergraduate degree from Asbury University in media communications and is currently attending seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University.
