Sue Jane Mylin, 78, a native of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, in LaFontaine, IN.

Mrs. Mylin, a former resident of Wabash, graduated from Huntington High School in 1952. She worked at the Vernon Manor Children's Home and volunteered at the Wabash County Hospital. She was a member of the Wabash First United Methodist Church and the Margaret Wilson Circle at the church.

She was born May 20, 1934, in Huntington to McCabe and Edna Burgett Day. She married Virgil Lee Mylin on Sept. 9, 1956, at the First United Methodist Church, in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Lee (Linda) Mylin, of Noblesville, and Nathan James (Heather) Mylin, of Edinburgh, Scotland; seven grandchildren, Stephen Tyler Mylin and Isaiah (Kristal) Mylin, both of Indianapolis; Maggie (Michael) Perry, of Noblesville; and Nile Mylin, Hannah Mylin, Tennye Mylin and Renner Mylin, all of Edinburgh, Scotland; and a great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at 6 p.m., with calling two hours prior to the service, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Rev. Kurt Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
