Ola Mae Tackett, 74, of Andrews, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Huntington.

Mrs. Tackett graduated in 1956 from Dorton High School in Dorton, KY. She was a former Andrews town clerk and was a member of Bethesda Free Will Baptist Church, in Andrews.

She was born June 10, 1938, in Pikeville, KY, to Scott and Flossie Elswick Tackitt. She married Delano Tackett on Jan. 2, 1959, in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death on June 26, 2010.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Ray (Gail) Tackett, of Warren, and Kevin Lee Tackett, of Huntington; three sisters, Opal Millman, of Andrews, and Gladys Tackett and Eleanor Ruth Tackitt, both of Virgie, KY; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Rev. Donald Arms will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Cancer Services for Huntington County in care of the mortuary.
