Lewis C. Wolfe, 66, of Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at 9:46 p.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Wolfe graduated from Larwill High School and earned an associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He worked at Essex Wire and Cable for 11 years, owned and operated an automatic car wash in Fort Wayne and retired from Auburn Gear in 2011.

He was born March 8, 1946, in Wolf Lake to Harry W. Jr. and Doris M. Bennett Wolfe. His mother survives in Larwill.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Dawn (Dane) Anderson, Teri Wolfe and Sara Hord, all of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Thomas H. (Linda) Wolfe, of Huntington, and Kurt (Karen) Wolfe, of Columbia City; and eight grandchildren.

A service was held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or Riley Children's Hospital.
