N. Lena Davis, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Heritage Pointe, Warren, IN.

Mrs. Thompson, a former resident of Landess and Marion, graduated from Van Buren High School in 1942. She retired from United Technology, Van Buren, where she had worked in quality control for 20 years. She attended Victory Freewill Baptist Church, was a past noble grand of the LaFontaine Rebekah Lodge and had been active in the Marion/Grant County Senior Center.

She was born March 10, 1923, in Marion to Leroy and Sarah Lakin Johnson. She married Dewey Thompson, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1982. She later married Harry Davis, who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1997.

Survivors include a son, Michael K. (Adeline) Thompson, of Landess; two stepdaughters, Vickie Merritt and Marcy (Dave) Head, both of Kokomo; a brother, Dale Johnson, of Marion; five grandchildren, Teresa Foust and Kathy Strickler, both of Huntington; Mike Thompson Jr., of Louisville, KY; Jason Ross Thompson, of Woodville, AL; and Connie Zirkle, of Gas City; and nine great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Fuenral Service, Casey Lloyd Chapel, Marion, with Rev. Mark Sluss officiating. Burial will be at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
