Juanita H. "Nety" Thrasher, 85, of Gulfport, MS, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Thrasher was employed as a secretary for the Huntington Fire Department for 13 years, retiring in May of 2000. She had previously worked at Utrad. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Huntington, an honorary member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and a charter member of the Dandelion Club.

She was born Dec. 12, 1926, in New Castle to Charles R. and Geraldine E. Hartt Wilson. She married Gordon E. Thrasher on Dec. 15, 1946. Her husband preceded her in death in 2000.

Survivors include a son, James A. (Marsha) Thrasher; a daughter, Jodee Ann Collins; a brother, Dick E. (Jackie) Wilson; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
