Martha M. Burnau, 94, of Warsaw, IN, and a former resident of Huntington County, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at 4 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Burnau farmed with her family in Huntington and Whitley counties before moving to Warsaw in 1961. She had been employed by Zimmer Inc. for 16 years in the soft goods department.

She was born Feb. 11, 1918, in Union Township, Huntington County, to David Roscoe and Flora Weber Johnson. She married Donald T. Burnau on Jan. 11, 1941, in Markle. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1993.

Survivors include three sons, Donovan (Martha) Burnau, of Dickson, TN; Gary (Marthene) Burnau, of Warsaw; and Jim (Agnes) Burnau of Yuma, AZ; a daughter, Teresa (David) Evans, of Alexandria, VA; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Robinson Johnson, of Warsaw; six grandchildren, John Burnau, of Spartanburg, SC; Marianne (Vince) Moschella, of Sarasota, FL; Liz (Chris) Wall, of Dickson, TN; Elizabeth Evans, of Alexandria, VA; Margaret Evans, of Pittsford, VT; and Madeline Evans, of Burlington, VT; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday Nov. 30, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 10 a.m. Rev. Bill Garner and Rev. Gary Boschain will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
