Herman E. Hosier, 84 of Marion, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 7:55 a.m. in Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine, IN.

Mr. Hosier retired in 1988 after 45 years of service to Foster Forbers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion, the Marion Evening Exchange Club and was a former member of Meshingomesia Country Club.

He was born July 20, 1928, in Grant County to Leroy and Ethel Walters. He married Maryhanna Myers on Jan. 9, 1949; and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Randall E. (Peggy) Hosier, of Marion; a daughter, Rebecca (David) Rees, of Marion; a sister, Lois Johnson, of Gas City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, in Marion.
