Beverly Sailors, 72, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Sailors was a 1958 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She attended International Business College. She was employed in the medical field for many years, including Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Sun Coast Hospital in Florida and Dr. B. Trent Cooper in Roanoke. She was a past member of the American Business Women's Association Huntington Chapter.

She was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Huntington to James and Zelma Hillegas Simmons.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Shultz, of Columbia City, and Brian (Jo) Shultz, of Churubusco; a daughter, Jennifer Abbett, of Roanoke; a sister, Denise (Bevan) Brauchla, of Huntington; a sister-in-law, Helen Sue "Suzie" Martz; and five grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation, with Dr. Ray Seilhamer officiating.
