Catherine E. "Kay" Heeter, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 4:50 a.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Heeter graduated from Huntington High School in 1938. She was a printer for the Herald Press, retiring in 1982, and was a member of St. Peter's First Church and Eastern Star.

She was born June 19, 1921, in Huntington to Harry E. and Sylvia I. Beemer Martin. She married Warren C. "Punk" Heeter on Jan. 22, 1974, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2009.

Surviving are a sister, Helen (Chet) Zimmerlee, of Huntington; a grandson, Chris (Jenny) Newton, of Huntington; and three great-grandchildren, Haley, Ella and Zachary Newton.

Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, for one hour preceding the 10 a.m. funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel. Rev. Keith White will officiate. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
