Donald J. Black Sr., 61, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Black served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 15 in Wabash. He was a factory worker for 20 years.

He was born July 25, 1951, in Cairo, IL, to Roscoe Jr. and Joan Marie Easterday Black. He married Janice Kathleen Shankster in Wabash on Dec. 2, 1983, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Kathleen "Kat" Black, of Wabash; two sons, Donald (Kayla) Black Jr. and Roscoe O. Black, both of Wabash; five brothers, Kenneth (Carla) Black, of Huntington; Larry (Deb) Black, of Mooresville; Ted (Teresa) Black, of Laurel, DE; Dennis Black, of Andrews; and Paul (Tamara) Black, of Gainesville, FL; a sister, Barbara Black, of Tucson, AZ; and two grandchildren, Kasey Lee Black and Eona Anne Black, both of Wabash.

Calling is Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 25, 213, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
