Fern L. Roe, 94, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Roe, a former resident of Yoder, retired in 1981 from General Electric. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ossian.

She was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Fort Wayne to Frank and Cora Snyder Harshbarger. She married Doyle Roe, who preceded her in death in 2002 after more than 50 years of marriage.

Survivors include a daughter, Cora (Daniel) Caston, of Zanesville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
