Charles E. "Chuck" Ihrie, 80, of Van Buren, IN, and having ties to Warren, IN, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Ihrie graduated from Bryan (OH) High School and served in the United States Army. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Amvets, a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge and a past member of the American Legion.

He was born July 12, 1932, in Garrett to Charles and Martha Klingler Irhie. He married Jacky Mason in 1972, and she survives.

Calling is Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Rd., Marion. A funeral service and Masonic rites will follow at 1 p.m., with Rev. Jeff Slater officiating. Burial will be at Jones Cemetery, Warren.
