Gladys Vera Szelis, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 12:28 p.m. at Oakbrook Village.

Mrs. Szelis was a homemaker and had attended the Faith Chapel Nazarene Church. She was a 1940 graduate of Huntington High School.

She was born April 14, 1921, in Huntington to Leander and Dorothy May Brann Mote. She married Robert Szelis on June 22, 1940. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1993.

Survivors include a brother, Kenny (Ruth) Mote, of Fort Wayne.

Calling is Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow, with Rev. Joe Hostetler officiating. Interment will take place in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
