Hester E. Ferguson, 101, a resident of Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at 10:30 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Ferguson graduated from Warren High School in 1929. She had lived in Van Buren for 75 years and was a member of the Central Christian Church in Van Buren.

She was born June 28, 1911, in Warren to John and Lilly Harvey James. She married Dale Ferguson in 1930, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Gwen) Ferguson, of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Norman Ferguson, of Marathon, FL; and two grandsons, Brady (Patty) Ferguson and Jason Ferguson.

Calling is Friday, March 15, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Applegate Chapel of Heritage Pointe, Warren. A service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, Van Buren. Rev. Heath Jones will officiate. Burial will be at the Van Buren Cemetery, Van Buren.
