Charles Richard Allred, 89, of Winter Park, FL, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Allred grew up in Huntington. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force, serving during World War II and the Korean War.

He was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Downs, KS, to Stanley and Anna Ruth Smith Allred. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Allred.

Survivors include a son, David Allred; two stepdaughters, Diane Jackson and Debbie Allred; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Interment, with military honors, will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
