Catherine D. Cummings, 57, of Gas City IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis.

Mrs. Cummings was a nurse and worked at Marion General Hospital for 35 years.

She was born May 17, 1955, in Lubbock, TX, to Larry Philip and Mary Maveline Underwood Miller. Her parents survive in Gas City. She married Russell Phil Cummings Jr. on Nov. 11, 1972, and he survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Heather Cummings, of Peru, and Tiffany (Jaime) Embry, of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Pam (Chris) Baldwin, of Huntington; Phillis (Rodney) White, of Sweetser; Carol (Rodney) Stevenson, of Fort Wayne; and Darla Miller, of Marion; her parents-in-law, Russell "Russ" Sr. and Margaret "Marge" Cummings, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Donna (Dan) Howard, of Noblesville; and four grandchildren, Kelsey Kimes, Brett Kimes, Easton Embry and Emma Embry.

Calling is Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2013, a 1 p.m., with Rev. Tim Hewitt officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
