Larry A. Heeter, 69, of South Whitley, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Heeter graduated from Manchester High School. He had been employed by Farmer's Grain Elevator, Whitley Manufacturing and Wabash Valley. He was a former volunteer firefighter for the South Whitley-Cleveland Township Fire Department.
He was born Sept. 24, 1944, in Huntington to Max and Geneva Stetzel Heeter. His mother survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Bonita Yates, of Sarasota, FL, and Cheri R. Heeter, of South Whitley; three sisters, Peggy Santee, of Wisconsin; Kay Beyler, of Sharpsville; and Carol Lambert, of Washington; a brother, Ron Heeter, of Minnesota; and a granddaughter, Hope Yates.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to the South Whitley-Cleveland Township Fire Department.
