Sister Justine Kiefer, OLVM, 96, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at 5:15 a.m. at Victory Noll's Holy Family Health Care Center.
Sister Kiefer entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Aug. 31, 1938, and made her first vows on Aug. 5, 1941. She served in missions in Michigan, California, Indiana, Colorado, Texas and Illinois. She retired in 1995 and returned to Victory Noll as a clerical and receptionist volunteer.
She was born Nov. 9, 1917, in Chicago, IL, to Fred and Helen Curtin Malbeuf Kiefer.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph Kiefer, of Oak Park, IL.
A vigil service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at the Victory Noll Chapel. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
