Grace Belle Love Roberts, 95, of Lowell, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at 4:55 p.m. at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village, DeMotte.
Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and had been employed as a legal secretary at the law firm of Victor K. Roberts, in Lowell. She was a member of the Lowell First United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Tri-Creek Education Foundation, in Lowell.
She was a 1936 graduate of Lowell High School and attended Ball State Teachers College, in Muncie.
She was born Oct. 19, 1918, in West Creek Township, Lake County, to Merritt and Isabel Bixenman Love. She married Charles Frank Roberts on April 4, 1945, in Lowell. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2007.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane L. (Lawrence) Dorocke, of Carmel; Jan E. (Michael) Perkins, of Huntington; and Gail C. Roberts, of DeMotte; a son, Douglas C. Roberts, of Lowell; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a memorial service following at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 520 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell. Rev. Patti Roberts Kispert and Rev. Rick Jones will officiate.
