Mary E. Whaley, 91, of Huntington, IN, Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at 3:45 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Whaley was a 1940 graduate of Kirklin High School. She was a homemaker.
She was born July 24, 1922, in Hillisburg to William and Levon Malicoat McAdams. She was married to Richard Whaley on De. 22, 1940, in Kirklin. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a son, David Whaley, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Starlynn Schell, of Huntington, and Cindy (Scot) Shaffer, of Berne; a sister, Thelma Goodnight, of Huntington; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel, 11201 S. Marion Rd.-35, Marion. A service will follow at 11 a.m., with Scot Shaffer officiating. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Memory.
