Robert D. Brickley, 83, of Markle, IN, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at 10:15 a.m. at Markle Health & Rehabilitation, in Markle.
Mr. Brickley worked for Wayne Metals as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the United States Army from 1950-1953, and was a tank operator during the Korean War. He was a member of the Bluffton American Legion Post 111, as well as a member of Markle United Methodist Church.
He was born May 26, 1929, in Rock Creek, Wells County, to Clarence and Lola Pence Gilbert Brickley. He was married to Particia Wall Brickley on June 6, 1954, in Bluffton. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Karl Brickley, of Bluffton, and Kevin (Judy) Brickley, of Roanoke; two daughters, Lisa (Stan) Trainer, of Markle, and Theressa Egolf, of Yuma, AZ; a sister, Kathleen Houtz; four grandchildren, Heath A. Pinkerton, Lori A. Rice, Maria R. Egolf and Ashlee R. Trainer; and six great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St.,, Markle. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Horeb Cemetery in Markle.
