Thomas N. McKee, 77, of North Manchester, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 8:37 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. McKee graduated from Central High School in 1953 and served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked as a bricklayer and masonry contractor for many years and retired from Pierceton Trucking Co. after 20 years of service.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 286, both in North Manchester, and Deming Lodge 88 F&AM.
He was born July 29, 1935, in Huntington to Francis D. "Jake" and Mildred M. Michael McKee. He married Avon McFarland on July 28, 1957. His wife preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2012.
Surviving are three daughters, Serita (Dean) Mithoefer, of Indianapolis; Joy (Bradford) Wagner, of Columbia City; and Ginger McKee, of North Manchester; a brother, Richard (Carol) McKee, of Silver Lake; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a service following at 5 p.m., at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind.-114 West, North Manchester. Rev. Ladona Webb will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
