Warsaw stops Lady Vike spikers' win string

After a hardfought victory in the first match, the Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team couldn't keep up the momentum and fell to visiting Warsaw in four games on Monday, Oct. 1.

The Lady Vikes, 16-11, lost 26-24, 16-25, 13-25, 16-25.

Alexis Wygant had 12 kills and 13 digs to lead the Lady Vikes. Jessie Drew added 10 kills, and Josie Beaver and Emiley Gray each had seven kills.

Mikayla Carpenter led the back-line efforts with 21 digs, and Allyston Trout and Allison Bucher combined for 37 assists, with Trout notching 20 and Bucher having 17.

The loss breaks the Lady Vikings' seven-match win string.
