HU soccermen push past Marian with second-half goals

Huntington University broke a 1-1 halftime tie with two goals in the second half to defeat visiting Marian University 3-1, on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The Foresters, 7-5-2, got goals from Paul Holliday in the 61st minute and James Parker in the 77th minute to claim the victory.

Bradley Kamden, who assisted on the Holliday goal, got HU on the scoreboard first with a goal at 11:50, but Marian's Steve Bush knotted things nine minutes later, and the teams went into halftime deadlocked.

Drew Mattingly had four saves in goal to get the victory.

Joe Brenneman got an assist on Parker's scor, and Joey Newberry got an assist on Kamden's score.
