Late scores lift Forester soccerwomen over Marian
Sunday, October 7, 2012 11:01 AM
A pair of late goals erased a 1-0 lead and earned the Huntington University women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over host Marian University on Saturday, Oct. 6.
With the Foresters trailing 1-0, Lisa Underwood knotted things with an unassisted goal at 72:01, and then slightly more than four minutes later Kaitlyn Dreman scored what proved to be the game-winner, also unassisted.
Goalie Samantha Barclay made the scores stand up as she saved four on the day to help push the Foresters to 10-3 on the season.
Marian's Taylor Helvie scored unassisted at 25:25, and the hosts still held that slim margin when the HU offense finally got clicking.
HU scored on two of its five shots on net.
