Taylor nets only goal of day in win over HU soccermen

The Huntington University men's soccer team fell when visiting Taylor University broke up a scoreless game in the second half on Saturday, Oct. 13, to win 1-0.

The defeat sends the Foresters to 7-7-2 on the season and 2-5 in Crossroads League play.

Danny Cawley's goal at 58:24 for Taylor proved to be the only score of the day.

Horraine Lewis had two shots on goal and Jake Essig and Paul Holliday each had one shot for Huntington, but the attempts couldn't find the back of the net.

For the game, Taylor outshot Huntington 11 to six.

Drew Mattingly went the distance in goal, making four saves for the Foresters.
