The Crestview Middle School boys' eighth grade basketball team defeated visiting Wabash, 43-24, on Monday, Jan. 7.

A balanced offensive effort carried the Cougars, 12-3, to the win, as Trevor Szelis and Luke Pulver scored six points apiece and Spencer Kryder and Dane Eherenman each added five.

Dylan Wynkoop led the team with 10 rebounds and Kryder grabbed seven.

The boys' seventh grade team fell to Wabash, 40-33.

Logan Moreland led Crestview, 7-6, with 10 points. Ian McCutcheon supplied nine points to the team's cause.
