Riverview 7th-graders win conference tourney

The Riverview Middle School boys' seventh grade basketball team won the 7th Grade Boys Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference (NELMSC) championship on Saturday, Jan. 26, with a 38-24 win over host Crestview in the championship game and a 59-18 victory against Indian Springs in the semi-finals.

Joe Stoffel led the Raiders, 16-2, in the title game with 16 points. Ethan Shafer added seven.

Mitchell Geller and Carson Bolinger paced Riverview against Indian Springs, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The eighth grade team fell to Lincoln, 35-27, in the 8th Grade Boys NELMSC championship game.
Riverview, 10-9, got nine points from Sam Daugherty and seven from Lucas Long.

Daugherty tossed in 20 for the Raiders during their 48-43 win over Indian Springs in semi-finals.
