HNHS tops Homestead, 6-0

Drew Schnitz, Mitch Hughes and Derek Snyder all had three hits and Matt Hogan pitched a shutout to lead the Huntington North High School varsity baseball team to a 6-0 win over host Homestead on Thursday, May 16.

Snyder and Devon Goelz each knocked in a pair of runs for the Vikings, 16-7, to support the five-hit pitching of Hogan, 2-0.

The Vikings turned a scoreless game into a 3-0 advantage in the fourth inning, then scored two more runs in the sixth and one more run in the seventh.

HNHS had 15 hits in the game.

Hogan struck out four and did not walk a batter.
