The Huntington University men's tennis team swept doubles play against visiting Indiana Tech University on Wednesday, Sept. 18, on its way to a 6-3 win.
Vlad Knudziy and Jose Hungria led the way at first doubles with an 8-4 win over Mikel Oscoz and Joaquin de Leon del Rosario, Joseph Straznicky and Diego Inurritegui topped Joaquin Ferrando and Gaston Raposo at second doubles, 8-3, and Zakk Sparks and Joe Brenneman recorded an 8-5 decision over Sriram Aranganathan and Vinicuis Silva in third doubles action.
Khudziy was also one of three Foresters to win in singles play, outlasting Ferrando, 6-4, 7-6. Hungria defeated Raposo, 6-3, 6-1, at third singles, and Inurritegui finished off Oscoz at fourth doubles, 6-2, 6-3, to help the team the improve to 7-2.
Straznicky was a 2-6, 4-6 loser at second singles to Aranganathan and Sparks and Arjun Bhalla lost by matching scores of 1-6, 2-6 to de Leon del Rosario and Nicholas Tripanon, respectively.
