HU's Speed joins 1,000-point club

Pazia Speed, a senior on the Huntington University women's basketball team, scored her 1,000th career point on Saturday, Nov. 16, during the Foresters' 64-49 win over visiting Rochester College in the championship game of the HU Tournament.
Speed becomes the 21st player in Huntington history to the reach the 1,000-point plateau. It took the 5-7 guard 88 games to achieve the milestone.
Speed is currently averaging 18.0 points per game, which places her 43rd in the nation in scoring. She is also ranked 11th in free throw percentage. Her career scoring average is 11.4 points per contest.
