CMS eighth-graders split in TV tourney

The Crestview Middle School boys' eighth grade basketball team edged Rochester in the first round of a tournament held at Tippecanoe Valley Middle School on Saturday, Dec. 7, before falling to Wabash in the second round.

Collin and Mason Landrum did the heavy lifting for the Cougars against Rochester, scoring 13 and 10 points, respectively, in the slim 24-21 win.

Crestview dropped to .500 on the season at 3-3 with the loss to Wabash, 58-31. Noah Ehler tossed in seven points for the Cougars and Mitchell McElhaney added six.
