CMS girls split in hoop openers

The Crestview Middle School girls' eighth grade basketball team kicked off its season with a rout of visiting Oak Hill, 42-26, on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Hollyn Anderson posted 10 points and four assists for the Cougars, 1-0. Rileigh Johnson supplied nine points, five dimes and as many rebounds, Megan Gilpin paired six points with five boards and Karmen Koch had a team-high seven boards.

The seventh grade team fell to Oak Hill, 25-18

Peyton Dorsett paced Crestview, 0-1, with seven points and three rebounds. Lydia Riggers tossed in 10 points and Madi Robrock notched four points and a team-high seven boards.
