Drew McLochlin pitched a complete game shutout in the opener as the Huntington University baseball team swept its second straight doubleheader from the University of Saint Francis, winning 4-0 and 3-1 against the visitors on Tuesday, April 1.

McLochlin, a freshman lefty from Noblesville, handcuffed Saint Francis on just two hits while striking out one and walking two.

Fellow frosh Dalton Combs provided all the support McLochlin needed with his first career home run, a three-run blast in the first inning.

The Foresters, 10-16, 4-8, used six hits and six USF errors to grind out the second game win, giving yet another freshman, Tyson Dietrich, the win on the mound. Dietrich went the first five innings and gave up two hits, with one strikeout and no walks.

HU scored in the first inning of the nightcap on a squeeze bunt by Dylan Henricks, then added its other two runs in the fourth inning, one coming on an RBI bunt from Austin Drummond.

USF pushed across its only tally in the seventh.

Henricks leed HU with two hits in the nightcap.
