Foresters draw blanks at IPFW

The Huntington University men's tennis team got blanked 0-9 by host NCAA Division I foe Indiana- Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, April 12.

The Foresters, 11-6, especially struggled in singles play where they managed to win only 13 games in six matches.

At first singles, Vlad Khudziy fell to Daniel Kang, 0-6, 1-6, and Joseph Staznicky at second singles was a 1-6, 2-6 loser to Andres Cobos. Diego Inurritegui lost at third singles, 3-6, 4-6, to Jonathan Raa, and Joe Brenneman at fourth singles was a 0-6, 1-6 loser to Gerad Guell. Jacob Cross at fifth singles took a double shutout loss to Martin Muadi, and Matthew Wilcox at sixth singles took a 0-6, 1-6 loss to Karl Wangensten-Oye.

In doubles, Kudziy and Straznicky fell 4-8 to Kang and Cobos at number one, and Inurritegui and Cross lost by the same score to Guell and Muadi at second doubles. Derek Hinen and Brenneman lost 6-8 to Wangensten-Oye and Connor Andrews.
