Kennedy's four hits lead Lady Vikes past Blackford

Maddi Kennedy had four hits and three runs scored to lead the Huntington North High School varsity softball team over visiting Blackford, 13-6, on Friday, May 2.

Aubrey Eckert had a home run and two RBI and Alyssa Hiple had two doubles and three runs scored as HNHS improved to 11-4 on the season.

The Lady Vikings held a 6-3 lead after five innings and pounded Blackford for seven more runs in the sixth inning.

Makayla Whaley added two hits and two RBI to the HNHS cause, Natasha Grover had two hits and one RBI and Kaylynn Rosen also knocked in two runs.

Hannah Middlebrooks was the beneficiary of the Lady Vikings' hitting, going all seven inings for the win and yielding eight hits, with one strikeout.
