Menzie's big day highlight for HU at Keeler Invite

Select members of the Huntington University men's track and field team traveled to the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College on Thursday, May 8, and Friday, May 9, with hopes of qualifying for nationals, but Brian Menzie's personal best day proved to be the Foresters' only highlight.

Menzie, a junior, shaved nearly four seconds off his personal best in the 1,500 meters, clocking in at 3:59.88 to take 26th out of 85 runners. He also earned second place in the Huntington record books with the time.

The only other Foresters to compete were sophomores Jake Nash and Tyler Herber. Nash, competing in high jump, finished sixth with a leap of 6-5.50, while Herber, running the 10,000 meters, placed 14th in 34:36.78.
