HN netgirls beat rain, Snider

The rain held off long enough on Monday, May 12, for the Huntington North High School girls' varsity tennis team to get in four winning matches for a team triumph against host Fort Wayne Snider.

Singles players Kylie Frederick and Emily Eherenman both shut out their foes, while the doubles teams of Ana Eckert and Emily Karst and Sarah Fryman and Alisa Leffler made short work of their opponents to help push HNHS to 7-6 on the season.

Second singles player Casey Richman had her match rained out.

Frederick at first singles was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Heather Blair, and Eherenman used the same score to blank Karsyn Havens at No. 3.

Eckert and Karst at first doubles took a 6-3, 6-2, victory over Ali Purdy and Haley Matthias, and Fryman and Leffler at second doubles won 6-1, 6-0 over Paige Gordan and Britney Huber.
