Rex S. Roush

Rex Steven Roush, 53, of Knoxville, TN, and formerly of Huntington, died Dec. 27, 2008, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville.

Mr. Roush was a member of Sequoyah Hill Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, TN, and also attended First Christian Church of Maryville, TN. He had been an honorary member of the Alcoa (TN) Fire Department for 15 years and had recently been named honorary fire chief.

He was born March 26, 1955, in Huntington to Rex L. and Jeanne Roush. His parents survive in Knoxville, TN.

Additional survivors include two sisters, Cheri (Ronnie) Hollingsworth, of Springfield, TN, and Ann (Marly) Brown, of Knoxville, TN.

A graveside service was held Dec. 29, 2008, at the Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville, TN, with honors conducted by the Alcoa Fire Department. A memorial service followed at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, TN, with Rev. Michael Stanfield officiating.
