The doors to four Huntington County homes will open to welcome visitors on Oct. 4 as Chi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa sponsors its 2009 Housewalk.

This year's showcase includes the homes of:
• Jim and Jeni Scheiber, 3170E-900N, Roanoke;
• Richard and Becky Hawley, 1111 N. Jefferson St., Huntington;
• Don and Jo Patmore, 6636N-300W, Huntington;
• and Ron and Marcia Rivers, 219 S. Main St., Roanoke.

As in the past, local florists and gift shops will work with the homeowners to enhance their residences with fresh and silk arrangements and interior designs. Creations by Wehr Into Flowers; Town & Country Flowers, Gifts and Interiors; Huntington Nursery; and Designs by Pam will be featured.

A new dimension to the showcase of homes this year will be the opportunity for homeowners to incorporate furniture, wall art and other decorative pieces from Smith Furniture into their homes.

The Kappa Konfections Shoppe will once again provide sweet treats to housewalk visitors. The Patmore home will host the sweet shop.

The homes will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. Discounted tickets may be purchased in advance from Tri Kappa members, Dorothy's Hallmark, all locations of Bippus State Bank and First Federal Savings Bank; or by calling Nicole Johnson at 356-7247 or Sonya Foraker at 356-5844.

Full-price tickets will be available at each of the homes the day of the housewalk.

Foraker and Erin Wiley are co-chairs of the housewalk. Steering committee members are Nicole Johnson, tickets; Michelle Kaylor, publicity; Katie Davidson and Sarah Earls, bake sale; Mindy Nix, newspaper articles; and Holly Tester, Denie Dyer, Pam Scher and Heather Malone, house chairpersons.
