Leo shuts down high-flying Lady Vike spikers

Host Leo shut down the high-flying Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team in three sets Thursday, Sept. 28, as the Lady Vikings lost, 17-25, 20-25, 13-25.

Macy Niswander recorded nine kills for the Lady Vikings, now 18-8. Kaitlyn Stephan added 22 assists and Kalee Platt had a pair of aces.

Riley Johnson had 13 digs on the evening.

The Huntington North junior varsity lost 0-2 on scores of 24-25, 23-25.

Morgan Robrock had eight assists and two aces and Maddi Layman had five assists for the HNHS offense.

Syanna Bonewitz had nine digs and Erika Vinson had three blocks to spearhead the defense.

The JV is 15-12.

The Lady Vike freshmen won, 2-1, on scores of 25-7, 22-25, 15-6.

Preslee Williams had four kills and three aces for HNHS, 18-2 on the season. Maddison Levy also had four kills and added three blocks.

Alexa Spahr made the offense go with six assists.

Victoria Myers had 14 digs.
