Vikings' soccer season comes to end

The season came to an end for the Huntington North High School boys’ soccer team with a 3-0 defeat to Warsaw in the semifinals of the Warsaw Sectional on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

The Vikings conceded two goals to the Tigers in the opening half and one more in the second while getting shut out themselves for only the second time this season.

Huntington North, 13-4-1, was limited to three shots for the game. Senior Caleb Smith produced two of those shots while senior Jacob Foster logged the other.

While senior goalkeeper Sam Poling permitted the three Warsaw scores, he also racked up 11 saves to keep Huntington North in the game.

The Tigers, 12-5-2, got goals from senior Eric Ocock, senior Cole Voss and sophomore Blake Burns.
