Knispel & Co. down Bethel

Matea Knispel continued her assault on opposing nets and got help from a pair of teammates as the Huntington University women’s soccer team downed visiting Bethel, 3-1, on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Jaime Calvin scored the only goal of the first half to give HU, 8-7-1, a halftime lead, then she fed Knispel for her 16th goal of the campaign to put HU up by two a the 62:51 mark. Although Bethel got on the board less than a minute later, sophomore Hannah Williams, a Huntington North product, iced the contest with her first collegiate goal at the 85:27 mark.

Paige Coolman, another HNHS product, recorded five saves in goal to aid the HU cause.

Millie Adams had the assist on Williams’ goal. Brandi Spear had the assist on Calvin’s goal.

The loss drops Bethel to 4-9-2 on the season.
