HU harriers 19th at NAIA Great Lakes Challenge

The Huntington University men’s cross country team placed 19th out of 24 teams competing at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Aquinas College.

Adrien Gentie led the way for HU by finishing 64th out of 285 runners in 27:04 over the 8K course. Elijah Chesterman placed 91st in 27:50, Kevin Moser was 114th in 28:37 and Kody Ahrens and Zach McIntyre finished 130th and 131st, respectively, in 29:32 and 29:40.

HU only had four women in the race and therefore did not score as a team.

Aspen Dirr led the Foresters with 55th place among 253 runners with a time of 19:48 for the 5K. Rachael Smelser had a time of 23:10 for 205th place, Bianca Tisdale was 217th in 23:38 and MacKenzie Bobeck ran a 24:01 for 223rd.
