Making mincemeat

Members of Central Christian Church core and chop apples to make mincemeat that will be available at the church’s bake sale and brunch on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Workers are (from left) Karen Farber, Gloria Wilson, Missy Schroeder, Julie Lahr, Linda Lakes and Missy Jones. The bake sale will also feature homemade noodles, pies, cakes, cookies, candies and snacks, along with some craft items. A breakfast of muffins, coffee and tea will be available at 9 a.m. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. and features stew or chicken noodle soup with a pulled pork sandwich and apple or cherry crisp.
