Son-Rise Bakery in Warren has moved to a new location, just about a block from where it was previously located.

The bakery, which opened about a year ago, has moved to 114 N. Wayne St. into the building formerly occupied by The Flower Pot, which recently closed.

Krysta and Cory Fornal, owners of Son-Rise Bakery, bought the building from its previous owner and opened at the new location on Oct. 26.

“I thought the building was great,” says Krysta Fornal. “All the doors just opened up and we took it as a God-sign.”

The new building gives Son-Rise more kitchen room as well as more seating room, Krysta Fornal says.

The business specializes in breakfast items and all sorts of baked goods, from pies, cupcakes and cookies to cinnamon rolls and artisan breads. With more space for customers, Fornal says the business is considering lunch options in the future.

“We will continue to try to expand our menu,” she notes.

The bakery also sells various coffees and soft drinks.

With the added space, the bakery has also added a variety of gifts and home décor from Created Decor & more, owned by Candy Smith.

The business phone number has remained the same at 375-4616.

The bakery is open Wednesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m to noon.
